68RFE BILLET FILTER ADAPTER
If your 68RFE is stock - or your built transmission hasn't had this adapter implemented, this upgrade is a necessity. Swapping to the metal filter adapter is just as crucial as maintaining the proper fluid level because if the filter becomes loose and falls off, the transmission will completely fail.
\nBecause the stock screw is made of inexpensive plastic, it cannot be properly tightened to prevent it from loosening over time. Overtightening will cause the plastic screw to break. No matter the mileage, we advise replacing the factory plastic screw as soon as you buy a truck, new or used. When changing filters, this steel adapter can be utilized repeatedly.
